Rear Overhead MOLLE Panel Product Details

Turn unused overhead space into organized, trail-ready mounting real estate built for real travel and real work.

The Rear Overhead MOLLE Panel transforms the empty ceiling space in your Jeep Gladiator or 4-door Wrangler JLU into a structured, secure mounting system for the gear you rely on most. Designed for overland travel, jobsite utility, and everyday preparedness, this panel gives you dedicated space to mount pouches, recovery tools, first aid kits, lighting accessories, and small equipment.

It keeps critical gear visible, accessible, and secured—freeing up valuable space elsewhere in your build. Integrated into the design is a built-in clothes hanger, making it just as practical for daily life as it is for time off-grid.

Installed the overhead molle panel from backseatdelete.com. Super-quick delivery from Mark. Ordered it Wednesday morning and it arrived Friday at noon in Colorado. Fit is perfect, quality is high, and install is super-simple. There is a shipping charge, but the packaging is definitely worth it. We only had to raise the rear top a few inches to slip it in. The panel has many molle provisions and also has a notched and gusseted clothes hanger rack built in. The notches will keep the clothes from sliding back and forth when going around corners. The retaining bolts fit through a factory hole in the roll bar, and there is enough clearance above to put the nut/exposed thread on the topside so that you have a cleaner look. The panel clears the side-curtain airbags in the event of an accident. Install time was about 20 mins.

This is a solid, well-made product. I have only a couple of minor criticisms that keep it from being a five-star product for me.
The MOLLE panel is secured by one bolt on each side. That is not inherently a problem, but because the panel is much wider than the two mounting points attached to the Jeep’s roll bar, it has a slight front-to-back wobble even when the bolts are fully tightened. Widening the mounting points from front to back—and extending the padded strips to match—could reduce this flex and make the panel feel more stable.
I would also recommend including rubber washers beneath the bolt heads. Because the panel sits on top of the roll bar and the bolts are installed from below, tightening them directly against the roll bar scrapes away the Jeep’s factory paint. This is a minor issue, but the damage could remain visible—especially if the panel is later removed.
Overall, the overhead MOLLE panel is well built and a solid addition to the Jeep.

Looks good in the Jeep just make sure to check the bolts. Mine did come loose and made a heck of a noise. Easy fix just needed to tighten more than I thought was needed.

So far it's holding up great! Haven't really put it to use yet but love the flexibility to put whatever I need overhead and clear up clutter on the seats and floor.

Thank you!
